I'm still doing some blogging... but I'm posting new blogs on my myspace site.
I caught the movie tonight. Three words for ya... Out Stan Ding!
The movie didn't stray from the book... and that's a good thing! There was only one or two small things that I saw and said, "that didnt' happen like that", but so small that it really does'nt matter.
I reccomend seeing the movie, but I reccomend at least reading the Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe first. You'll have a better understanding of a few small parts if you do that. C.S. Lewis goes into the character's minds and lets you know what they're thinkning when they do and say certain things.
The symolism is great. It'll send shivers down your spine when you get what C.S. Lewis was trying to say. If you don't know... Aslan represents Jesus. See the movie and read the book... you'll get it.
Great family film.
Hey, forgot to mention on here...
Got my grades back. Finished with 1 A and 2 B's. Yeah, could have been better... but could have been much worse! Now... to finish my last 6 hours.
Hey folks,
I'm currently reading the Chronicals of Narnia. I'm about a third of the way through it. It's an awesome read! If you don't have a chance to read the whole 7 book series, at least check out the lion, the witch, and the wardrobe. Good readin'!
Not Christmas...
But X-Mas. That sucks.
Seriously. It does. It sucks more than a brand new Hoover Vacuum!
When you say X-Mas, it's disrespectful to Christ... the whole reason for the season!
And another thing... What's up with this whole Happy Holidays junk? Holiday Tree junk, too? The world is too policically correct now... and that ain't a good thing. It seems the policically correctness only targets CHRISTIANITY! What's up with that?! We're taking CHRISTMAS out of Christmas Tree. Where's the outcry towards the other religious holidays? Where's the outcry to change the name of the Jewish Menorah to the Holiday Candlestick? You don't hear that... you only hear cries to take Christmas out of the holiday. If you're going to be PC... be PC with everything. If your not... then LEAVE CHRISTMAS ALONE.
For the rest of you... Merry Christmas!
Greetings and salutations everyone!
Well, it's another Monday morning! Hope everyone had a great weekend! Had an OK weekend around here... didn't really do a whole lot. Mostly just laid around the house, I guess. Nothing too exciting... nothing too boring...
Last night I had a chance to go to Enterprise to see a friend of mine in concert. Shane Dunlap. www.shanedunlap.com. He's a great singer and he's a great guy, too. I picked up his new CD called Paradise. It's really good. Go to his website and you can download three tracks off the CD to listen to.
Well, this is FINALS week. I took one of my finals this week... took one last week... and have one more left Wednesday morning. I'm not looking forward to that one! It's web authoring. I enjoy the class... but I haven't gotten Cascading Style Sheets yet... so... I've got to teach myself the next two days how to do it!!! Fortunatly, we can print out anything we want and use any book we want to use on the exam. Hopefully, I can figure it all out!
Only 6 hours left and I'll be the first in my family to graduate with a 4 year degree. That's important to me. It'll give me a better chance at getting a GOOD job. And, it'll set a good example for my kids. That is a good thing.
Things are looking good right now from where I'm sitting. I just gotta be patient...
All for now... more later!
Allright... I've been asked this a million times. So, I'll give my answer in the form of a blog.
What do I want for Christmas? That's a good question. I've put a lot of thought into it, well, actually only a little thought, but still... here it is... in no particular order.
- Peace on Earth and Good Will Towards Men. Yeah, that.
- A system to replace my Lightning Struck GameCube. An XBOX 360 would suffice. But, considering no one I know loves me enough to pay that much for a gift for me... (haha)... another GameCube or a PS2 would work. Sorta leaning towards wanting a PS2 a little more than a GameCube. But, it doesn't matter.
- An assortment of Games for system I possibly get. If I get a GameCube, Day of Reckoning 2. PS2, Smackdown Vs Raw 2006 and NCAA Football 2006. If it's a PS2, it'll need memory cards and stuff, too.
- Another suit. Hey, I've only got one...
- More bookings for Master's Call.
- A Bigger TV. My 27 incher is nice... but I want a BIG TV! Once again, too much money for anyone to spend on me right now. (notice the title IS wish list)
- Pants. Jeans and Khakis. None of these army fatigue looking pants though... Carpenter pants are Ok... but why do I need ALL those pockets?! The strech fit Khakis are cool... (hint hint)
- Shirts and Ties. I got a neat shirt a while back that had a really neat feature. The top button was on elastic and was sort of flex fit. That was cool. I like that shirt.
- dress socks... dress shoes. Yeah, I need some better shoes... but I don't want any bo-bo ones. Come on, I am sort of cool...
- I would put an Auburn Jersey on here... but I just bought one.
- I got a good Bible the other day, but I still need another good KJV Bible. Not too big... not too small.
- A Rick & Bubba T-shirt
- A Troy University jacket
- Bart Millard's Hymned CD
- the new Southern Gospel Shout various artists CD (older ones would be cool, too)
- A Crabb Family T-shirt
- To be about 20 pounds lighter... Guess I'll have to handle that one on my own.
- A 2006 Mustang. Hey, it could happen...
- Mark Lowry's new Live from Hollywood CD
- The ability to satisfy everyone I meet... while being able to satisfy myself (once again, I'll have to handle this on my own.)
- An external TV Tuner for the PC. I can use it on my CPU at work and my laptop at home.
- The Youth Group to grow. (one more time... on my own)
- A watch. Yeah, I need one. I want one with a metal band. Not a strechy old man metal band... but a cool, hip metal band. Yeah. That's me. Cool and hip.
- A Cell Phone... Yeah, I'd like to have another one. Tired of not being able to be gotten up with!
UPDATE ---
25. Petra's new CD. Petra literally means rock. and, yes, Petra Does ROCK!
That's all I can think of right now. I'll update if I can think of more stuff.
